Wander Lust

Ever since July, I have lived out of a suitcase. Last year I did something that I have always wanted to do, I drove (or rode co-pilot) from the East coast to the West coast. It was a little pleasure, a little play.

Our three day drive through Texas (it's huge, y'all)

Sunset at my cottage in the Irish country

This year will definitely be hard to top as far as travel is concerned (cross country, keys, Europe). I definitely hope to visit Miami and the keys again because that's where my roots are. This year I also hope to visit NYC, something that was in the plans for last year but never came to fruition.

Beverly Hills last fall

Florida Keys this past April

Maybe this year our trip will consist of driving from the Keys to NYC... We haven't decided yet. I am thankful for my travel companion, Jordan. We have been lucky to have the opportunity to travel and I hope we continue this tradition throughout our years together. Three places which I hope to visit this year are:

1. New York City- I've been intrigued by New York City for a long time but haven't actually had a reason to visit until this past year. NYC is fashion central and I would love to experience a little of that magic.

2. Napa Valley- wine Capitol USA. I would love to venture over to the west again and this was one area of California that I didn't get a chance to explore.

3. Italy- ok a girl can dream. Maybe after I've lost all the weight from Ireland then I'll be ready for another trip to Europe. Italy is the country I have on the top of my list but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to visit anywhere out of the country.

Dublin, Ireland

Bring it on 2015! I'm ready for you!

Mad for Plaid

I was hesitant about the plaid poncho because it's so big. I do love how warm it is. It is like wearing a blanket... Because I kinda am. The weather forecast is going to be very cold. Very very cold for the Deep South. It will be below freezing for almost two days... Hopefully everyone will stay safe and there won't be too much ice on the roads. We can dream about snow but we all know it'll just be ice.

Also The Bachelor premiered last night. So far my favorite is Britt. I'll keep y'all updated on my thoughts as the season continues.

Ciao for now,

Jaclyn

Sweet Seven

Here are seven things that I've recently found sweet!

1. Blank Space

Taylor Swift does it again. She's a only year older than I am, but yet she's been on the cover of TIME. I don't necessarily agree with her decision to pull her records from Spotify, but I respect her rights as an artist. Also I think that pulling her albums from the streaming service may have back fired a bit. The story gave Spotify a lot of press and surely, more subscribers. Back to the song... I love the music video. Have you seen it? It's Gatsby themed and there are some fun pop culture references thrown in (Elin Woods beating up Tiger's car with a golf club). Taylor has always been beautiful but after watching this video, I really want to hit them gym. Or maybe go on Taylor's diet-coke diet. Cheers, Taylor!

Here's the video:

2. The Skimm

This email subscription service was made for me. I love being kept up-to-date with current events but I don't always have time to sit down and read news articles every morning. It reminds me a lot of the headline reports that I would write for the candidate when I worked on a national political campaign. Sounds glamorous, right? Ok, it kinda was... This service gives you all the important facts and developments on the top national news stories. My sister described the writing as "snarky and college educated." Love. It.

3. Online Shopping

Online shopping has been "bae" this holiday season. I am a sucker for holiday sales and "free shipping." What was that, online boutique? I need to spend $35.85 more to get free shipping? Don't mind if I do. Talk about justification.

4. The Mindy Project

I'm not sure how I got so behind the curb on this TV show but it's on it's third season. Not that I mind because I love a good hulu binge. I am obsessed with all things Mindy Kaling. She's so fabulous. My sister and I decided that Mindy is our spirit animal. If Kaitlyn and I were combined into one person it would be the character Mindy Lahiri. If you haven't watched it then you need to. Two and a half season to binge over this holiday break. You're welcome. Also on her latest episode, one of Mindy's Christmas decorations is a Wreath Witherspoon. Dying.

5. Texas Pralines

Have you ever had Texas Pralines? They're like pralines but magical chewy.

Here is a recipe for them that I found on Pinterest.

6. House Of DVF

My new guilty pleasure. I'm not sure if the premiere wasn't well advertised or if I don't watch E! anymore because I am not a KardashiFAN, so I didn't know about this show. I honestly thought that "E!" had changed to "K!" House of DVF is refreshing. I started watching around the 3rd episode (OnDemand of course, does anyone intentionally watch regular cable anymore?) The finale is this weekend. The whole show is about Diane Von Furstenberg's quest to find her next brand ambassador. I honestly disliked most of her contestants but the final three aren't so bad. From the beginning, I found myself wanting the blogger, Keir Mellour to win. She's a typical "fashun" blogger but is definitely the contestant that I can see myself getting cocktails along with most. There's still time to binge watch the entire season OnDemand before the finale on Sunday Night at 10.

7. Response to my Jewelry

Last semester, I started playing around with some jewelry making techniques. I have received  overwhelming support from friends, followers, and family about my designs. I am excited for what 2015 has in store for Frazier Lynn. I want to publicly thank all of you for your continued support. I can't wait to share future designs. Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.

Visit my webstore at www.FrazierLynn.com for my current musing / designs. (It's a work in progress so please do not judge too harshly)
